Volunteer requirements and events

Thank you for all our volunteers for the Golf tournament, Picture day and Co-op Fuel Good Day!

As per previous emails. All families are required to take part in our association fundraisers. We do these fundraisers so that fees do not have to be raised a lot higher. The association provides some funds for tournaments, allows for teams to make profit when hosting a tournament, pays for a base team picture, pays for a development conditioning camp, subsidies goalie and power skate, and many other options to improve our system. This is why every family is required to take part in the events the association puts on. There has been discussion with in the future proceeding with raising fees the $175 per player to avoid the need to host events. We will continue this year to try the volunteer route and will place the events to volunteer on this page. Please note that we will be reaching out to families that have not volunteered as we have a list to help fill positions first but we would love to just have people sign up. Thank you!

UPCOMING EVENT

November 1st,2019 Jr B Halloween dance. We will need volunteers for the Jr. B Halloween dance that we will be partnering with.  The event is Friday November 1st,2019. The Jr. B association is the lead on the dance and we will be providing workers. All workers need a ticket which is $25 dollars and includes lunch. We will also be giving managers tickets also so we can try to sell some . We are not held to selling a specific number of tickets but we will receive a higher percentage of the profit if we are able to sell some for them. To volunteer please contact their event coordinator Juanita Brunet at dgrdrake31@gmail.com  She will track and let us know who volunteered. When you email her please indicate your are from VDMHA.

Past and filled events

Golf tournament- Thank you to all workers. Volunteers included but were not limited to the Tournament chair,registration desk, set up and clean up assistants, fun events at the hole workers, prize and raffle ticket sellers.

Co-op Fuel Good Day- We were selected by our local Co-op to receive the benefit of Fuel Good day September 17th 5 cents per litre will be given to our association. In addition we will receive $1.00 from the sale of any size of Co-operative Coffee or Big Cool.We have also been given the opportunity to run a hot dog sale. We have volunteers to chair the hot dog sale and provide the workers.

Picture day- We have a volunteer to chair picture day coordination.
